Historical Timeline

It is always good to remember where you have been!

10 Nov, added Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award, 08 -10 ## Fighter Wing Combat Safety Improvement Team.

26 Oct, added Informal Uniform Standardization Policy that was recently released, this really has impact on the 3M community!  Find this in the Good to Know - Uniform Information page.  Also added Upcoming Changes to AF PT AFI (AFI 36-2905) to Good to Know.  This merely clarifies the 90 retesting rule from the AFI.  So, if you have failed recently you may want to read this. Additionally, add yet another 2009 Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) to AFWriting.com, Outstanding Junior Dental Educator of the Year in the Officer Award Examples. Also added information regarding A1 Awards Program to AFWriting's Award Timelines.  Finally, for those of you that follow the site, you may realize we don't endorse too many Supervisor Tools.  We have had a Deployment Finance Calculator submitted by the Author.  Let me say, this looks really, really good.  If you are down range, will be going down range, or have an Airman downrange, take a couple of moments and check it out.  It will be worth your time.

24 Oct, added four more 2009 Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) packages submitted by AO; Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist of the Year Award, Medical Surgical Nurse of the Year, Mental Health (MH) Nurse of the Year and Emergency Clinical Nurse of the Year has been added to the Officer Award Examples in AFWriting.com.

15 Oct, added 4 more 2009 AFMS packages AO submitted.  Two enlisted award examples: Outstanding Base Bioenvironmental Engineering Airman of the Year and Outstanding Dental Technician (Airman) and two officer award examples: Ambulatory Nurse of Year (FGO) and Critical Care Nurse of the Year (CGO).  Also for those of  you living in a cave you might have missed the new AF Motto.  Ready yourself for this...Aim High... Fly, Fight, Win.  This is almost as earth shattering as when the the AF Symbol came out.

3 Oct, AO submitted the 2009 Air Force winning SMSgt Timothy A. Maggard Medical Readiness SNCO of the Year.  There are 11 more 2009 AFMS packages to be added.  Due to the Award Drive, the Award Example Page on AFWriting.com is going to be a work in progress.  Currently, it has been divided up into the largest categories: Enlisted Recognition Programs, Communication and Information (C&I), and Medical Service (AFMS)

27 Sep, added Panting Your Canvas to Good To Know.  It is more of a self awareness article and thus might be a newsletter in the near future.  Otherwise, so far two award packages have been added, both are 2008 Annual Award SNCO squadron winners.  One is for a 3E191/Superintendent, Infrastructure & Squadron, the other, 3M071/Food Service Superintendent.  Find the both on AFWriting.com under Award Examples.  These are the first two for the AWARD Drive thank CAD.  Finally, AFI 36-2201, Air Force Training Programs, has been updated as of 15 Sep 10.  Thus, if you are a supervisor at any level. get it as the document has been substantially revised and must be completely reviewed.  You can find it and others on the AFMentor PUBS Page.
