SUBJECT: Letter of Recommendation

It is my pleasure to recommend [First M. Last Name] for employment. He is one of the most outstanding young men I have met, in the past 20 years, working in the computer world. I have had the opportunity to work very closely with [First Name] on many problems in the last 2-1/2 years. Never has he let me down. No problem was ever too big nor took too long. I have seen [First Name] work 18 hours straight on a problem and never complain. [First Name] is the type of employee that helps solve many day-to-day problems, and has been given a free hand to make decisions that arise during his work shift.

During our conversion from the Univac 1050-II computer system to the Sperry 1100/60 system, [First Name] assisted a team from HQ TAC, by loading out all systems software, ensuring the correct versions of files and programs were used. His performance as the first Standard Base Supply Systems Monitor was outstanding. [Name of Air Base]'s conversion was the best in HQ TAC due to [First Name]'s keen knowledge of the Sperry 1100/60 computer system and his ability to work under pressure.

We at [Name] Air Force Base and the ##st Supply Squadron will miss this young man. However we understand his wish to strive for a bigger and better challenge.

I would highly recommend [First Name] for any position, especially a position of trust, and "YES" I would hire him without hesitation.

[First M. Last Name], GS-12, DAF
Assistant Chief of Supply
[Name] AFB, [State] [Zip Code]
