Congratulations

Reenlistment

Key Points to Writing
  • If you haven't already, Take a writing class. English Comp will do.
  • WRITE!!! The more you do it, the better you get.
  • Ask for HELP, not knowing what you are doing can hurt you, your "Airmen" and unit.
  • Use various writing resources like Merriam-Webster Online
  • Use a spell checker.  (F7 Word)
  • Remember, there is a purpose for writing a letter or MFR.

The following Example has been taken out of a Word.  If you have anything you would like to submit, please do so.  If you have found this information useful, please let me know. Everyone of these letters has taken considerable amount of time to put together.  Please treat yourself to something special from one of the ads on the page.  We will both get something out of it.  (All money gathered pays for hosting fees and domain fees.  HONESTLY, when I see money come in it also prompts me to work harder on the site.)

Dear (RANK AND LAST NAME)

I would like to commend you on your decision to reenlist in the (BRANCH OF SERVICE). You have made an extremely wise choice, a choice that I personally guarantee you will not regret.

I am sure you realize all the benefits that can be gained by serving our great country in the most honorable way possible-as a member of the Armed Forces. The strength and security of our nation depend on the commitment of each military member, a commitment you have chosen to make.

This is a very exciting and innovative time to be a member of the (UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT) and (MAJCOM, BATTALION, BRIGADE, WHATEVER). The challenges we are facing can only be accomplished by people of your caliber. You have given everything you can to the mission of the (BRANCH OF SERVICE) and I am greatly appreciative of the fact that you will continue to do so.

Once again, accept my deepest appreciation and admiration for your dedication to reenlist in the (BRANCH OF SERVICE).

                                                                                    Sincerely

                                                                                     (COMMANDER'S SIGNATURE BLOCK)
