NARRATIVE

When <RANK> <LNAME> discovered that our exchange server was being used as a relay for Spam emails. He quickly troubleshot and corrected site settings and configuration to secure this server from further exploitation. Versatile skills; assisted computer maintenance section during manning crunch; troubleshot and repaired secure network workstations preventing extended down-time and ensuring no loss of critical stored data <RANK> Planning ahead, he provided personnel video software and training so other personnel could create an inspirational multi-media presentation for an event attended by four flag officers that all sang of praise of the event’s success! This built on the ever-growing Air Force esprit-de-corps giving the Air Force members at this remote location a “re-bluing”. <RANK> <LNAME> took the intuitive and conducted a security evaluation of the entire <HQ> network. His finding and corrective actions closed potential holes in the <HQ> network that hackers could have used to corrupt or exploit the network, saving countless man-hours and potential high costs had a security breech occurred. He successfully completed two computer administration courses in London, the NCO Academy in Germany. <RANK> <LNAME> was also hand selected to attend the Navy Command Financial Advisor 5-day course. Selected as the command’s representative and lead administrator of NATO Digital Geo-spatial Metadata mapping system, which was heavily used during multi-national Flag Officer led Exercise DECISIVE ENCOUNTER with no downtime! <RANK> <LNAME> devoted time in community activities.
