- Achievement
Decorations read like awards, and will need a narrative for justification
- DO NOT plan on making up mid-tour points
in a PCS medal
- Ask for HELP, the only person looking out for #1
is you
- The only person looking out for your Airman is YOU!
- ASK for/WRITE

- WRITE!!! The more you do it, the better you
get

The following Air Force Achievement Medal (AFAM) for outstanding achievement example has been taken from a

OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT

Technical Sergeant <FNAME> <MI>. <LNAME> distinguished himself by outstanding
achievement as Dining Facility Manager, ###th Expeditionary Services Flight,
438th Expeditionary Support Squadron, ###th Air Expeditionary Group, ###th Air
Expeditionary Wing, <NAME> Air Base, Jacobabad, Pakistan. During this period,
Sergeant <LNAME> skillfully managed feeding operations, 800,000 dollars in
food and equipment, and 17 military personnel to produce over 132,000 meals
for 350 personnel in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Despite austere
working conditions and extreme heat, he successfully safeguarded a rotating
perishable food inventory worth more than 430,000 dollars while maintaining
100 percent accountability. His vast food service knowledge was instrumental
in purchasing 500,000 dollars of subsistence and meeting the food operation’s
financial goal of 3 percent gain/loss. During a three-day period, Sergeant <LNAME>
manually unloaded nine shipping containers and five aircraft pallets of food,
working 15 hour days until the job was complete, earning himself the ###th
Group Commander’s “Hard Charger” award and the Services Flight’s “NCO of the
Month”. In addition, Sergeant <LNAME> selflessly committed 20 hours of off
duty time to help prepare food for two Group picnics, three birthday meals,
Easter Day’s feast, and several unit functions. These efforts were pivotal in
maintaining high morale and spirit of deployed personnel. The distinctive
accomplishments of Sergeant <LNAME> reflect credit upon himself and the United
States Air Force
