SrA BTZ Nomination

Key Points to Writing
  • WRITE!!! The more you do it, the better you get.
  • Ask for HELP, the only person looking out for #1 is you.
  • The only person looking out for your subordinates is YOU!
  • Use a spell checker.  F7 works well in MS Word.
  • Use Merriam-Webster Online to improve your vocabulary.

The following BTZ nomination example has been derived from a number of sources.  The most current example , as of 2007, is the BTZ package being placed into an AF1206.

If you have anything you would like to submit, please do so.  If you have found this information useful, please let me know. Everyone of these letters has taken considerable amount of time to put together.  Please treat yourself to something special from one of the ads on the page.  We will both get something out of it.  (All money gathered pays for hosting fees and domain fees.  HONESTLY, when I see money come in it also prompts me to work harder on the site.)

AWARD:

Senior Airman Below-The-Zone Program

RANK/NAME OF UNIT COMMANDER:

This will depend at which level of competition.  if it is a local BTZ board (7 or more people, then it will be the squadron/equiv commander).  if it is a wing board, then the information will be the wing/installation commander.

The meat of the package falls into the following three categories.  Local rules will guide you on the number of lines under each category.  don't forget EPRs normally do not get processed with the BTZ package.

- 9 to 12 lines including sub-bullets

TRAINING, EDUCATION AND SELF-IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS
- 2 to 3 lines including sub-bullets

OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Use the space afterwards for Acronym descriptions.

COA - Certificate of Achievement
HW - Hardware
MS - Middle School
